Old cemeteries
A famous Jewish cemetery can be found in Mád. Besides, this village has a particularly nice, late-baroque synagogue that was recently renewed by the plans of Ágnes Benkö * and Péter Wirth. Their work received a Europa Nostra award.

There are wonder-rabbi tombs both in Mád and in Olaszliszka. The albums above include photos on such tombs (you can recognize them by the crowns).

Synagogues
In western Hungary the orthodox synagogue of Györ * (Győr) was very nicely renovated:
There is an excellent collection of modern paintings inside. The majority of the exhibits are the works of 20th century painters of Jewish origin.
Recently the main synagogue of the Status Quo Ante community in Budapest was opened to the public again. It is roughly 130-year old and was designed by a famous Vienna architect, Otto Wagner. I added a few photos on Wagner's building in Vienna, too:
